The Raid 2: Berandal

The sequel to what is considered to be my favorite action movie of 2012, The Raid: Redemption. Which I'd personally recommend to anyone whose looking for a good action film, if you have already seen it then I'd recommend recommending the movie to your friends or family members because the guy who directed this, Gareth Evans, deserves as much recognition as he could get. To those who have seen the movie VHS 2 he's the same guy who directed Safe Haven, which could have been a stand alone movie.

Not going to give away the plot since it would contain spoilers for those who haven't seen the first but the sequel takes place I'd say a few years after the events of the first movie. Here is a teaser trailer for it.

One word....Wow. The last time I felt this pumped about a movie or a sequel to a movie was when I saw a trailer for Spider-Man 2. I like how it doesn't outright tell us whats going down but more like show you whats going down. For instance the scene where the main character from the first movie, Rama, was punching the wall looked pretty intense. From the way the scene read he wasn't just punching a wall but more like a imaginary opponent/enemy. I hate to be anyone that try to cross him as in the first movie he practically killed everyone.

In the little flashes that we get you can see that the scales have been higher than the first movie. Which I also enjoy. I like that in a sequel the stakes are much higher than it was in the previous film. I also like that it doesn't give everything away, which has been my pet peeve in Hollywood Fim Making these days.

Looking forward to this movie coming out and hope that it's either on par or better than the first film.
